One mistake, changes the game.
Yeap, losing 2-0 to Chelsea has always and never been easy. Looking back at the game, both teams evened out. I felt a mistake is needed to be made before a goal came about.
Unfortunately, that mistake fell to Mascherano. He dabbled on the ball. Chelsea players got onto it and subsequently scored with a quick shot by Anelka.Assist by Drogba by the way.
Second goal came from Drogba powering and pushing away Carragher before teeing up Malouda to score the second.
Overall, honestly, out attack impentus was poor. Only did we bring Bennayoun on and Babel did things liven up. Bennayoun, I am sorry, but I just don’t know why he is regularly on the bench rather than starting most games. I feel sorry for this lad. This guy gets rotated so often while he still sticks to the likes of Lucas. Lucas, didn’t have a bad game. Played well, but offered nothing to get the ball up front. Again missing Alonso.
What particularly annoys me is Drogba. Great player. Someone I wished Liverpool had in the team. But this guy FAKES every tackle like it’s the end of the world. Big fella but pretends to be in pain so badly that it annoys everyone (except Chelsea fans!). How many times have u seen him fake it on the pitch last night?
Anyways, here are the player ratings from this match, courtesy of goal.com .
Do not jog/workout with your iPod Shuffle!
Yeap, I hardly blog. Tweet more really.

I’ve mentioned in my tweets how delighted I was when I purchased my iPod Shuffle 3rd generation 2Gb for a RM229. I wanted a simple looking mp3 player, easy to use with simple controls. I was actually gunning for the older model shuffle, where the controls were on the player itself. Alas, I was too late. The store quickly removed the old models once the new shuffle came out merely 2 weeks back.
I have the iPod Nano (4th gen) and I am very, very happy with it. Reason I got the Shuffle is that I wanted to use it for jogging/workout purposes. The Shuffle seemlessly integrated itself with iTunes. I had made a good Smart Playlist which consists of great rock tunes for my jog!
First day of usage, jogged almost 30mins. No problem. The unit was light, unobstrusive and simple to use.
Day two ran into some problems. Suddenly after like breaking a good sweat, I could not control the player anymore. Couldn’t increase or decrease the volumes. Even switching to the next tune was difficult.
I quickly hypotesize something went wrong with the control system on the headphones itself. Moisture or sweat got into the control system and it was screwed up. Yeap, I even checked online, the Apple support groups, and yes, I wasn’t the only one having this problem. Almost everyone that jogged with this unit couldn’t control the Shuffle anymore. Sweat has short-circuited the control mechanism. This is not permanent though, as once it’s dry, it will function normally.
I am seriously pissed off that Apple didn’t look into this problem. The player isn’t bad.. the bloody design of the headphones is ROTTEN! Looking though the Apple message board, I noticed users have already complained about this problem when the last Shuffle (with similar headphone controls) was released. This way way back in March 2009!!
Did Apple not read any of the user forums? To gather opinions from the public? I guess not, cos the design for this latest Shuffle wasn’t looked at. The only option now is to find a 3rd party compatible headphone that is water/sweat-proof. More money lost!
Apple, please rectify this problem!!
Championship Manager 2010..out soon.
Just downloaded the demo version of this football game. Currently, well, an addict of the 2008 version. This new one looks rather impressive. Better interface, albeight it took some time getting used too really. But overall great. Learning curve not that steep as most of the functions are still there, just moved to different players.
Like previous versions of this game, this one does not allow you to control the players. Your job, is like a manager. Just set up your squad and the formation along with the tactics. Use your players and see how they perform. I have to say, yes the Liverpool squad is abit thin, have to admit that depth in squad is limited. Oh well, what to to. No Aquilani in the team. I presume once it’s fully updated, the release date of 11 September 2009 will have the latest squad players.
A screenshot I took in the beta.

Injuries and the bench..
Yeah. I’m talking about Liverpool’s bad luck. Skrtel is injured for 2 weeks now with a cracked jaw after frakin’ knocking himself into Carragher. Good job.
Agger is out – what 3 weeks more? Who to take over now…18 yrs old Ayala. Is he good enough. Not sure as he looked rather scrawny on the pitch. Not muscular enough!
Aqualini – untested, unproven. And injured.
Rumours keeps surfacing that we are looking forward to more defenders. Yeah I know we have problems in the defense but I am more keen to see new attacking midfielders in the squad. Rafael Van de Vaart anyone?
Or should we just drop Gerrard to central midfield with Mascherano. Make Benayoun take Gerrard’s role. I think that would be amazing to see. But know how Rafa is… he will be stubborn to change anything at all. He will still stick to the same formation and squad.
Well, after only 1 game out of 38, still long way off to go. I hope I’m not wrong as the season goes by!
England football squad 2008/09 Simpson style!
This is not my design. But it’s awesome!

Tottenham Hotspurs 2 – Liverpool 1
When I knew that this was the opening game for us, I thought, this is definitely a very tough game. Spurs got great players in their squad. I wished some of them are in the Liverpool team like Luka Modric, Wilson Palacios, David Bentley even Gareth Bale.
Liverpool needed to up the tempo against Spurs at White Hart Lane. Unfortunately, with Alonso leaving, I for a fact know that this is gonna be a very tough season.
Except for Pepe Reina who has been absolutely smashing. He prevented old Liverpool boy Robbie Keane from scoring 3 times. The 2 goals we conceded were poor. Again from set pieces. What was really annoying and stupid was watching both Carragher and Skrtel colliding heads!! It was rather amusing (not!) to see them go for the ball together. I felt that Carragher knew that Skretel was going for the ball too, he didn’t shout for it. Then again, on the pitch sometimes you can’t hear anyone!
Torres and Gerrard were kept very quiet. Spurs back four was solid. Gomes was a suspect as usual. If not for Glen Johnson’s run in the box, we wouldn’t have gotten a whiff on goal. Penalty no doubt. Babel, 22 yrs old – one word – atrocious!! He was not of the pitch at all. Was suppose to stretch the game, make runs inwards. All I could see is that Glen Johnson and Insua was doing the runs on both wings. Kuyt was not his usual self. Benayoun should have started way earlier. The guy lit up the field but to no avail!
Well, Spurs did score the goals. First one was brilliant. We had a second penalty shout which was completely looked over by the referree. Definitely one could see Voronin (oh yeah..that’s how much quality the Liverpool squad is!!!) was barged over in the penalty box. No doubt about it.
Luck I would say.
Bad omen to lose the first game for the new season? Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United had easier starts I would say. Long way to go. United fans are in glee now with that result. They should be. We have no proper quality really to just make the team tick. We cannot rely on Torres and Gerrard all the time!
Carslberg not sponsoring LFC?
It’s come to my understanding that Carslberg may not be sponsoring Liverpool FC next season onwards after almost 17 years.
Standard Chartered is said to have offered double what Carlsberg is offering. Definitely believe we should get more from these sponsors to as Liverpool is a BIG TEAM!
I would like to see other brands splashed on the new kit. What do ya think of these?
- Apple Computers
- Honda
- Ferrari
- Marantz
- Bose
- Heineken
- Hugo Boss
- Calvin Klein
- Armani
Just to name a few from the top of ma head
Defense Woes
I couldn’t watch the Liverpool-Atletico Madrid game but we were well beaten it seem by 2 goals from Aguero and Forlan. Lucas pulled one back from us in the second half. Some praises coming from all circle that Lucas has improved. I guess he is stepping up now that Alonso is gone and Aquilani will only be fit in 2 months time.
Our defense is now very week. Agger and Skrtel are both out with injuries – back and hamstring respectively. This is not good. Arbeloa is gone and our wonderful Finn, Hyypia is not with us anymore. What’s even worse is that Carragher injured himself too in the game today. ‘Twisted’ ankle it seems.
Anyways, Rafa seems to be interested in Hull City’s Mike Turner. 6 million bid was rejected. They want 12million. Is that worth it?
Not a good time to get injured.
Frak!
